Our friend Barton K. submitted a two-fer for our viewing pleasure. The coaster is a gift he received from the county for his excellent service to the no-longer-ageing, the mug has not been returned to the work cupboard.
Looks like good 'ol Auntie Ada may have to snag a few of the Ferryman's Pennies to buy another mug if they hire another person in that department.

I am all but certain that I have consumed coffee from this very one. It comes to our collection from the Dreamwalker Coffee House in downtown Boise, Idaho. The location is still there, but the place is not. Boise lost a bit of "charm" when the 'Wanker went under. 24 hours, smoking inside, techno and folk on the same stage in the same day...
Feel free to comment with your recollections of that place.

Coffee News Coffee News
This mug came from a shop in Boise, Idaho which used to be located on the Grove near the Brick Oven Beanery. Coffee News was one of the earliest Internet cafes in Boise, but the primary focus of the place (aside from selling coffee) was the distribution of a wide variety of print media. It was a pretty neat place, but the chairs were a bit uncomfortable. I don't remember why I stole this mug, but I have had it for quite a long time.
Alien Beans.
The following image was submitted by an anonymous contributor, that is to say I received it in an MMS message but my phone didn't recognize the number. The mug comes from a place called Zele Cafe in Aspen, Colorado. According to the Internet, this shop no longer exists.

However, there is yet to be a tale of the mug attached. What shop was using this mug? Why were they using images from Internet animations? What prompted the theft of the vessel?

Contraband Coffee Mugs
Hello,
This is a blog devoted to the posting of images of coffee mugs removed from the premises of coffee shops. It is not a blog about stealing from small businesses, nor do we suggest doing so. However, there is evidence to suggest that people out there on the Internet have coffee mugs filched from favorite joints as a memento. We would like to see pictures of those, and to post the related story.
Thank you.
